My name is Michelle. I created this account to follow two of my friends and their blogs.
I have a YouTube channel where I talk about books. I am little tempted to start blogging as well though. Sometimes I want to talk about my struggles as a mom, and as a military wife. I don’t know if this is the place to do that, but I would also talk about books, of course.
My favorite genre is Sci-fi but I also like fantasy. I like contemporary as long as there are LGBTQIA characters. During college I read a lot of literary fiction, and I am just now getting back into it. I’ve read many YA books lately, and I still enjoy YA as long as it offers next level YA themes or topics. What I mean by that is that it offers something that hasn’t been done before. Some authors that this concept can be applied to are: Robin Talley, Jeff Garvin, and Meagan Brothers. Robin Talley has an amazing way of rewriting history from perspectives that haven’t been talked about or discussed in depth before. Jeff Garvin, though new on the scene is opening up the genre to voices that have gone unheard for to long. Meagan Brothers is writing YA with such powerful prose that it could be considered literary fiction. I like when authors offer something new.
On my channel I release new videos every Monday and Wednesday. Here is a link if you would like to go check it out: https://www.youtube.com/c/MichEllisLife
